Alex Vassiliev, Chief International Officer

Alex serves as Chief International Officer of Yandex Market which is one of the largest players in the Russian eCommerce market. Yandex Market serves a monthly audience of over 43 million unique users on all platforms, giving them access to over 20,000 domestic and international merchants and 160 million product offerings.

He has joined Yandex Market in June 2018 from Alibaba Group where he served as country CEO of Cainiao in Russia and Regional Director. Prior to this he served as Vice President, Business Development for Russia and Eastern Europe at LeEco and General Manager for Russia at one of the biggest Chinese e-commerce companies JD.com.

From 2011 to 2015 he worked as Deputy CEO for SPSR Express – leading express delivery company in Russia with a strong focus on international markets. He has developed cross-border delivery projects for world’s leading e-commerce companies such as Amazon, Ebay, Alibaba Group, JD.com etc.
