Alistair McAuley is the Founder & CEO of TradeKart, a technology platform making it faster and easier for tradespeople to get the materials they need. He started his career in his family-owned trade merchant business and later led strategic growth as Managing Director at AkzoNobel (Dulux).
After seeing first-hand how much time is wasted sourcing materials, Alistair founded TradeKart, a marketplace dedicated to the trade. The platform connects tradespeople with local merchants through real-time stock visibility and on-demand delivery — often in as little as 30 minutes — helping jobs stay on track. Launched in 2022, TradeKart now serves Tradespeople across the UK and has recently launched in the US.
Alistair is passionate about using technology to support the trade community, giving merchants a digital shopfront and tradespeople a simple, reliable one-stop solution for materials. His focus is on practical innovation that creates long-term value across the construction industry.
