Ian Jindal researches and analyses digital retail, with a focus on the soverign consumer, sustainability and purpose. He founded RetailX.net to serve Europe's digital commerce community with insights and analysis, including the UK500 and EU1000 performance rankings. Ian is the host of the RetailCraft.net podcast, along with its programme of executive networking, think tanks and dinners. Via RetailX.events we map the digital D2C sectors with some 20 events a year. Prior to research, Ian was Group eCommerce Director at Littlewoods Shop Direct, and Head of Online Operations at the BBC. Ian is a Chartered IT Professional, a Chartered Accountant and he authored the UK’s first MSc in Internet Retailing. He is currently writing a book on "Purposeful D2C Retail".
Ian is a Trustee of the Crafts Council, the UK's national charity for craft and an exhibiting photographer.
